Option to decline arena games?

I have seen some players are able to accept or decline arena games, which would be very helpful. I have lost many Karma points by waiting for a game to start, forgetting about it, not getting notified and then being kicked out when I didn't play.

Can anyone help, where to set up accept/decline for arena games?

From what I understand, the auto-accept is to avoid people not playing because they matched with someone that may curbstomp them. Sometimes I have seen the Accept button available, but I think that may be actually a bug?

Anyway, I agree that the issue of not noticing a match has started is more or less common. I usually message if the other person hasn't appeared for a minute because that should ping them again. Given the origin of the autoaccept maybe there should be a Confirm prestep instead that doesn't show nothing about your rival. Just confirming you are there.

My understanding is that you are offered the option to decline when the other opponent is busy with another real time game. At least this happened to me sometimes and the difference I could spot is that when I was offered the option to decline I had to wait quite a bit before the game started. Once the other opponent is free from games the game start immediately and you cannot decline.

I have enabled notifications when a real time is about to start so that the browser ping and I can go back to the browser window when the game is about to start (and I don't forget to enable sounds on the laptop...)

I have had many instances of Arena games where it says "waiting for opponent to accept...", as if they've magically unlocked an ability to override auto-accept. Presumably it's a glitch.

Surely when they started the other real time game they would have left the arena queue?

Not a real time, but if they are in another turn base game, arena game is waiting for theirs return to main page.
