Can anybody say why? For how long? Is this just Arena mode?

These games are using a deprecated sandbox module and its support has been terminated recently.
In short, someone has to rewrite the game code from scratch.

Edit: Hack Trick is now removed from the BGA game list.

The upside is, next time we play this much beloved game, we won't be plagued by the many bugs. And I hope they freeze the dice in the update, so many misclicks due to the dice rearranging themselves after one is chosen...

Hi all, I'm volunteer to rewrite Geek Out! Masters.
I read about the dice moving, in my implementation this happens as well but you have the confirm/undo button, so if you missclick you can undo.
The game is quite ready to be tested.

I think to implement also a parallel player version: Every player rolls their own dice and play the turn, at the end of their turn players must wait for others to end their own turn, when all players end the turn points will be updated and game move to next turn.

The parallel version will consent to play with more than 4 players (up to 12, max for BGA) .

I have to implement this thing so I hope to receive comments from you Geek Out! Masters player.
