People leaving one turn before being able to win

This is incredibly frustrating and has happened to me twice now. Someone has left and then I have been able to win on my following turn. But because of how BGA works I have now twice got +0 ELO for my "win". There should be a way to check that if someone is on 11 or 12 VP they should get more ELO. Unbelievable this has happened twice. Days of playing wasted.

There is definitely a problem with the calculation method, because the winnings don't increase much and the ELO decreases a lot.

I think the main issue here is that Elo is being calculated as a tie for the remaining players. As the highest rated player, you are losing Elo against all of the other "winners". Luckily, there is special code in place so that your total Elo cannot drop in these cases.
This is a problem for other games besides Catan. It would be better if the Elo change was calculated as though you had beaten the skipped player in a 2-player game. You can vote for this suggestion here:
