Tournament "Playing hours"

I'm thinking of joining the upcoming Tournament "September Aesthete Heat Cup". I haven't played in a tournament before and I noticed it has "playing hours" of 00:00 - 12:00.

Firstly, no timezone is specified, has this auto-changed to my own timezone since I'm logged in? Or is it GMT time?

Secondly, is this more of a guide or a restriction, like you can't play turns outside those hours?

The tournament playing times should be in your own timezone. For me, that tournament's playing hours are displayed as 5am to 5pm. That is consistent with 12am to 12pm playing hours for someone in New Zealand.

You can play outside of those hours, but your time counts down during those hours. In all tournaments, your clock does not get replenished, so for this 30 day tournament, you have a total of 72 hours to make all of your moves. You run the risk of losing 8 hours off of your clock each time you sleep, so it is very possible you will run out of time.

Ah thanks, makes sense. Yes I'd better not join this one as I could only play 800 - 1200 from those times.
