Board Game Arena

I have always played games holding my phone vertical rather than horizontal. For the last 2-3 days, for some reason all the games have had their interface changed and i have to hold my phone horizontally to see the whole table while playing a game. For example, if i am playing a card game, some of the cards on the edges are not even visible while holding the phone vertically. What happened and can the old settings be implemented please

I am guessing you are playing on Chrome, or the BGA Android app (which uses Chrome behind the scenes)?

If so, Chrome just updated to version 128. It unfortunately causes problems with how many games are rendered. BGA staff is aware and plans to address it, but I do not know the timeline.

Yes I play on Android app on my phone and unfortunately games are no longer playable as pieces and tiles appear in a random position on the screen. Hopefully it's fixable!

Yeah this is frustrating. Half the display is missing on most of my games

Switching to desktop mode in the Chrome settings seems to make it look like it should, although it's not as neat or efficient as the old mobile view.

Edge updated as well, so anyone with Chrome or Edge may start seeing lots of broken games until a solution is found. Hopefully BGA has time to address it early in the week.

I'm not sure if this will work with every game, but it's a temporary workaround for me on backgammon.

1) Open the game with messed up graphical placement.
2) Rotate the game into landscape mode.
3) Use the +/- to change the game board size. This immediately fixes the graphical placement issue.

Note:
-If you return to vertical phone orientation, the graphics stay looking correct... UNLESS you hit the +/- again, then it all messes up again.
-You have to redo the fix anytime you reenter the game (or refresh the page).

Hope this helps some people at least.

My android Firefox has failed about the same time. I can no longer play any game at all on my phone
