Question on scoring

I've just played a game where I appeared t be winning, however I got hammered as my oppononent got 45 gentry points. I calculated them manually and they came to 22.
So quick questions:
1) Does the ;final situation' show all geusts or just unplayed ones? That is did they have 23 points worth of guest that I couldn't see
Or
2) Is there a scoring rule i'm missing that allows opponents to double their score?
I can't quite see how they lost the courtships and gained 45 of their 120VPs from guests
Thamks in advance

1) is correct, in the final scoring all the guests count, including played ones.
You can actually see all the guests by selecting both “Gentry” and “Discard”.

Thank you. That’s what I thought, so I’m still puzzled as to how they scored 45 with only 5 prestige guest and 22 points showing in their hand and me marrying the Fairchild. I guess if it happens again I’ll need to use the replay function to see how they did it.
It may well be a bug, but I haven’t enough data to really submit a meaningful bug report. I’ll see if I can go back and look.
Once again, thanks for your response. I scored my highest ever

and still lost

Were you able to find an explanation by going through the replay?
I just played my first game and tried to understand the final scoring by manually calculating and checking everything. I got stuck at the Gentry VPs and couldn’t figure out why I only scored 6. Is it because the one worth 8 VP didn’t count for some reason? Otherwise, I would have expected to get 14 points (24 - 10). The same calculation seems to work correctly for my opponent.
I've attached screenshots of the final situation in case anyone is kind enough to help clarify. I couldn’t find anything in the rules that explains what I might have done wrong.

I can't see the screenshots. Posting a link to the game replay is probably the best way to figure it out.
Luckily, as you've only played one game it was easy to find.
Table 700312066
You've only got six gentry point, because the points for Charles the fairchild sibling worth 8 points are actually counted under the VP and Courtship line. I totally get the confusion here I would include them under the gentry too, just because in the physical game it's a card in my hand when I'm adding up the points from the cards in my hand.

I see. Thank you for the explanation.
