Since the game is in beta, I think that a re do button would help a lot, mainly the players trying the game for the first time

For a more extensive discussion with the developer on this very topic, please check this out:

For an excellent example of how Undo buttons are utilized for the betterment of a game, please check out River of Gold:

I apologize, the developer erased the discussion we had over this topic.

They are adamant about not putting in an Undo button, which is a shame for such a great Solo game.

That's really unfortunate. I accidentally selected the wrong ally. That doesn't reveal any new information or anything. I should be able to "undo" that. It's hardly even an "undo" it's like in real life if I just accidentally touched the wrong card and then went and picked up the right one.

From the FAQ about BGA's undo policy, (from which I learn part of the issue is server load, which is totally valid!), it states undos can be allowed:

If you are in the middle of a real "game action". For example, on Chess, it is normal to allow to undo the selection of a piece in order to select another one, as the move hasn't been done already.

That's the kind if case I ran into. I just clicked on the wrong ally. That's exactly like undoing the selection of a piece in chess.

It looks like they're recommending using something called the "confirmation preference option" which I'll look for, but it also looks like that is applied to ALL games, and who knows how many specific selections it applies to. Hopefully will not make things more clunky in other cases!

EDITED TO ADD: Yeah, with confirmation selection on now you have to click an extra time to confirm every single card play. Alright.
