Board Game Arena

It is impossible to remove anomalies by paying resources and impossible to use any building that requires paying to receive resources. Every single time, in every single game, and for every single building this happens, and it has been going on for weeks now.

There are literally hundreds of bug reports about this. Why is the game still up in this unplayable state and when is it getting fixed?

Did this start around August 9th-11th. That's about the time when Spyrium broke and got totally unplayable. Maybe related?

I think it did actually. I don't have an exact time frame but it started for me a few weeks ago.

I think this is related to the BGA upgrade of their PHP version to 8.2 from version 7.4. Similar problems as we see with Anachrony were also reported for Age of Civilization (same developer).

Similar problem for the same developer for his game, Architects of the West Kingdom. The Church building will not allow you to discard a debt card when you play the Church card. Hopefully BGA and the developer can work through the issues.

How can we wave our arms and get attention on this from the devs?

That's what I'd like to know, because the game is fantastic. One of my absolute favourites.

At this point the game should be sent back to alpha. It is embarrassing this game is considered production right now.

The complete lack of follow-up, or even response, from the devs in a month's time re: these issues leads me to feel this is potentially abandonware.

I truly hope I'm wrong as this game is a fantastic implementation otherwise, but it's very disappointing to see no engagement from the devs whatsoever since these issues became common. The bugs have yet to even be reproduced, much less addressed, in the bugs forum, leading me to think no action is happening behind the scenes.

AFAIK, Anachrony doesn't have an active developer/maintainer. I'll send a message to the original developer, but if he is not up to the task then we can't do much. All games are implemented and maintained by independent developers, not by BGA staff. We can try to contact BGA admins or Mindclash Games next. I'll post an update after I hear from the original dev.
