Is there a way to track the scoring during the game? It is not showing and I miss having an overview of how many points I have already earned.

Is this the official place to disagree? It might be slightly more defensible for real-time - but this is completely public knowledge and this is just a QoL catastrophe. One could require the players to calculate their own scores and agree on (or argue about) the winner at the end too, to "replicate the board game experience".

At least there's the notes feature! (If you haven't tried/found notes yet, and are reading this nodding along, this is a great time to go try it!)

With all apt gratitude to the developers who I understand to be volunteers :)

I don't get this decision either. The lack of live score just slows down the game when players need do the math themselves.

This QoL feature is particularly important in this game because the 2nd player (at 2p) can sometimes decide to end the game immediately or not on their turn and having to calculate points beforehand is just tedious. Like in many other games, it could just be a table option available before playing so I don't really get the argument "keep it close to the real experience" since people would just be able to go with whatever option they wish.

I also agree that it would be best to show progression of points as goals are completed.

The game is great but would be so much more enjoyble with a running score as the game progresses.

Hello everyone! I also really like this game and I also don't understand this decision. It's clear that at any important moment you can count the points on the field in a minute, but this prevents you from keeping your attention on the game and slows it down. At the same time, it is difficult to understand after the game at what moments you made a big mistake or, on the contrary, at the expense of what you won. Recently I saw a site https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/40649 ... ame-helper, where something similar was done for another game. But it seems that in the 7 wonders thread on BGA the developer was not against such extensions. It would be interesting to know the opinion of the publisher/developer and the community here. Perhaps that this script can be adapted to this game. But I would not want to figure it out in vain, especially since I do not know JavaScript😂

Even though I understand the arguements in favour of this suggestion, I`m perosnally glad that I don`t see the scores till the very end. If I were losing the game, I wouldn`t want to be staring at my low score the whole time that the game lasts, that would take the interest out of the game for me. To me it`s optimal to see in the end who won and who lost, analyse the tile layout for future improvement and just move on.
Also, imagine the frustration as your opponent goes through all five combinations of stones on every turn, trying out how much each choice would score.
PS Tbh, if I could, I would even switch the ELO visibility off for myself so that I could play for the game and not for the score

Adding my voice against the running score feature - it's an added layer of complexity to calculate each step as more or less favorable and I like to exercise that muscle during the game. Having it as an option will unnecessarily segregate the players and dilute the pool of suitable matches. And yes, it might be demotivating for the losing party to see the score the whole time
