Option to implement more ways to win?

The Clouse Encounters expansion introduced a new victory condition with ways to score points for destroying and/or capturing colonies. This means that every game is not simply "destroy enemy homeworld".

I know there are no expansions planned to be implemented for this module, but would it be possible to implement some points scoring system to give other paths to victory?

EG:

Colony value destroyed
Colony value built in deep space

etc.

Many thanks. :)

I don't think it's in 1v1, but in 4 players I believe there is such a thing as “short games” where you just need colony points to win...

However I would say such rule is not really playable as it is immensely relying on luck by praying you get an alien world close to you. Plus multiplayer space empires break down where it comes to balance, the playable modes are 1v1 and 2v2. (even though I think 2 planets in the deep space is interesting for 2v2, but I will say destroying 1 colony gives you like half way to victory also makes no sense)

When you have enough game experience, you would realise this game is heavily relying on attacking. It is very harsh to defender as it often leads to splitting armies. Victory condition on destroying “any” colony just makes it even more impossible to defend.
