Can someone explain why you would want to skip goals? Most of the time you can claim all your completed goals, so why would you skip one?
Also sometimes I’m not allowed to claim some of my completed goals, how do I know when I can claim them all, and when I can’t? There must be something in the game rules but I can’t identify it!

this game handles goals a bit wierd. ath the end of a round, goals are checked and you can claim them if you wish. If someone does claim one, THE GOAL ROW IS REFRESHED IMMEDIATLY. but that new goal is not part of the current round. (no idea why it doesnt jsut wait till all goals are passed or claimed to refresh the row). that might be why you cant claim a current goal, its not acutally current.


as for passing, You might be to the point that claiming a goal ends the game, and not quite ready for that yet.

There can be a few reasons not to claim a completed goal. If it will give you your 6th goal and end the game but you will lose then you don't want to claim it. If it is a goal with a bad reward you might not want to waste one of your 6 goals on it. If it will reveal a new goal and you don't want your opponent to have a chance to have a good goal for them come up while you are still working on the current goals. Finally if it is your personal goal it can be good to save it as you won't waste a harmony or asset on a space you would have filled normally.

Thank you both, really very useful. If you skip a goal though, it doesn’t just skip the goal for the next one, it deletes all claimable goals! This seems a bit harsh and the word ‘skip’ is a bit of a misnomer. I skipped my first goal hoping I could then claim the 2nd one which was worth more, and both goals were immediately discarded.
