Wish there was a classic layout rather than tabs

I love this game and own it, but the digital version with its tab feature is really annoying to me. I'd like to be able to zoom out, view it all, and see the actual boards together, like the physical game. I got really confused when the tracks looked very different than the board from the game. Just want it to feel more like actually playing the physical game, you know?

It could work as an option, but bear in mind BGA games have to support phones and tablets. Showing everything at once tends to be nearly impossible for those devices.

Hi!

Developer here. I started out with the "normal" board first but ended up with the current layout as there is just too much boards and areas of interest in Orleans to display efficiently on narrow devices. Having played the game plenty in physical form I almost never need to have a complete overview of all boards, just particular areas for my next move. So I figured the tabs work good in that regard.

It's always hard to find something that works for all, and the general consencus is that the Tabs organise the game elements well and I don't expect I will be changing this. Sorry.

I'd agre with OP, all at once view preferred. You really don't need to see the players board very large, just the colours of the dops and wether a space has a follower placed or not, I'd like to have them really small but next to each other.

I wanted to make a new thread, but then I saw this one. I know that it was a hard work to create this game, but I have to agree that this is imho not a good implementation, everything except of the UI is ok, but the visual part is terrible, because each turn we have to switch the different tabs multiple times and its very difficult to get and keep an overview of all the game moments and opponent's turns. There are another games on BGA which take a lot of space on the table, for example Barrage or my favourite game Darvin's Journey, both very good implementations, but they don't use this switching. I'm sorry to write it, but I played Orleans 5 times now and I had no fun at all. This game requires attention and in this case it is hard to concentrate so I was not involved into the game process and made some moves without good thinking :( In other words: 3 stars from 5 only because UI.

Could there be an option to show everything at once? So users can choose? Thank you.
