Hi,

I recently finished a tournament of Tapestry that had a league table in the first round and the top 2 qualified for the next round.

Myself and another player both finished on 10 points, however I was 3rd and they were 2nd. I actually beat the other person (in 2nd) in our game.

How does BGA decide on the league table if two players have the same points. I appreciate it's hard to code rules that work for all games but a head to head would be a good deciding factor in my opinion.

I've running a tournament with similar criteria, and I've found that in the case of all the ties for 2nd, the account selected was older, which also seems the case in your tournament too.

I agree head to head would be better ,and then maybe time left on clock, followed by lowest elo.

Are you referring to a round-robin tournament? Or was it some other type, such as Swiss system?

I'm not familiar with Tapestry. But in general, if you go to the tournament page and click the "plus" symbol at the top of player names, the standings will expand to show the first few tiebreakers. After that, further tiebreakers are undocumented but discussed in the forums. See for example the following threads, which sometimes give conflicting responses:
