2 player rule

I don't see where the 2 player variant rules come from and didn't find them in the English rule included in BGA.

I just play a 2 player game, and from my observation, the 2 player rule change from draw one face down card from the deck to choose between one of 2 visible card. Once the player run out of both card and couldn't play any card, the player lost.

I feel quite frustrated in this 2 player variant as it depends more on the beginning hand. Did other player feel this way?
Would it be possible to 2 player game to choose between either method? (unlimited face down cards or 2 visible cards)

I tried playing a two-player game. I didn't enjoy it very much. I find the three or more player game more balanced and more fun.

It's a different game, you have to play more carefully, make sure you can always play and not take one of the two cards on the board. But it is indeed a pity that the rules are not stated in the English rules, while those rules are also for 2 people.

There is an unofficial English translation of the original Japanese rules at boardgamegeek, that includes the duel rules for 2 players:

Maybe, someone volunteeres to add the 2-player rules to the community provided „how to play“ section (BGA wiki):
