Change to thew arena format.

I am very displeased, unhappy and disappointed with the new arena format.
I was a Backgammon Guru and the new format was not supported while I was a guru.
3 point games with doubling makes for much longer games.
Many players do not understand and do not play the doubling cube well.
This may be another game that I stop playing in the arena.

I'll replace you. I do not enjoy playing without the doubling cube so I didn't play arena. I was very excited to see the change. I would even support a 5 or 7 point match. Much more fun!

I'd like it to be 1 point games with doubling cube which would impact scoring and a rematch option

I agree with waikirikiri. I tested 5 matches and don't think, that arena mode makes sense to me any more.

I'm trying to learn it, I'm not liking it.
I wish there was Arena for backgammon, and Arena for backgammon with the doubling cube. I probably wouldn't play the latter.

I hate it. Much longer game instead of a nice fun break. I donβt necessarily want a rematch and when you bop someone you gotta wait for them to choose to double just to find out that they canβt put down their pip.
It makes me want to play way less

Arena is meant to be a competitive mode. That requires skill differences between players to make a noticeable difference in the outcome.
Backgammon is already very heavily luck based. So 1-point matches simply aren't suitable for the arena format.
Ideally you'd want 5-point minimum to get a good show of skill out of arena rankings. But even 3 points makes skill significantly more of a factor over single games.
I hate it. Much longer game instead of a nice fun break
If you're just looking for a fun break, why does that need to be Arena?? Get your casual games at the regular tables as intended, and let arena players play a suitable arena format.

Ah the arrogance of youth.
A 1 point match is suitable, was suitable, for the arena format.
Backgammon is a skill based game based on optimising one's opportunities using one's strategy.
If the arena needs a multi point game why not 7, 9 11?
A 3 point Arena game can take in excess of 45 minutes.
That is simply too long for an Arena match
If people want multi-point games they could play them at a regular table as was intended.
I want short sharp area matches not long marathons
