4th pl compensation

Now that I've had a chance to play this game over 50++ Times online/tabletop and spoken with other higher ranked players on the site I've seen everyone draws the same conclusion that going 4th in a 4 player game is a pretty distinct disadvantage. Getting your choice of goals is going to be a guess at best because you don't know if the goals are going to be easily reachable because people moving before you might gain (or rest their workers) on those early spaces. You are also the most-likely player to have to pay more to visit actions because others have already been there.

The proof to me is that no one I've talked to would be open to starting as 4th player if they had the option, but in games like Carnegi you are happy to go 3rd-4th because the compensation structure is so good.

Wouldn't 1 coin for 3rd and 2 coins for 4th make it so you felt like you were on a pretty even playing field? Currently, no one wants to go 4th because it's really weak.

100% agree.

I also think the crew draft should be draft 4, pick 3.
( We misplayed it this way the few times we played IRL and I was shocked it wasn't the official way)
Getting stuck with just 2 out of 4 colours feel awefull ( even more so in 3 player game if the objective for that colour isnt available)

I would say this is not true

The 4 starting tiles are:
2 red wax, boat
2 blue wax, tent
2 green wax, lens
2 yellow wax, 4 evo

The worst is the 2 yellow since that is the least desired color and 4 evo is hard to do in R1 when there are no pre-set discoveries
Depending on your draft, red or blue would be easily going 4th in 4p. If you draft 2 red cards (which you know before you pick, then all you need to do is take a boat action)
The 2 green is normally easier as it can be done in 1 action but that is likely going to be taken in 4p before you. (buy lens on red, gain a red wax). Still do able in R1 but needs a bit more effort

Then you can get -1c on shared spots and take your pick of the litter

I do agree with this though. They should give some minor vp compensation to 3p and 1c to 4p
