Board Game Arena

So I just saw something odd, there was a wave of over 20 different brand new accounts all starting a game of "Cant stop."
And when I tried to join one or two, they would not respond to a message or start a game up when I was there. They all had quite varied names but my first instinct is bots somehow?
Anyone else encounter this with any other games?

Could it be that they are friends who want to play with each other and don't know English?

More than 20 of them at the same time? I doubt it but maybe. I just thought it was odd.
