60 is a decent score in an average game, and especially for a new player to pull this off before getting to 100 ELO is impressive (unless they are a smurf

)
That being said, yeah, definitely don't put all your eggs in the "clear boards" and "max moons" baskets every game. Stars need love too.

Most of the time 6 boxes done does not give you the win. You need stars (with 2 players) and moons (with 3 or more players) to win.

I have.. in my very first game! I scored only 59 points. I actually completed the last box with 2 cards left to play.

There are better strategies than going for all the boxes though.
