For real, I'm in a tournament (first two continue to next round) and have been tallying the victory point totals dozens of times per day.

There's no secret information. All points are in the open and knowing who is ahead of you is important for knowing who to block (by leaving useless cards on their deck or drawing usefull cards from their deck).

Having to recound the point total for each player every other time is cumbersome.

How can we get the victory points to be displayed in game? (The code must mostly be there already, it gets used at game end)

There’s really no need. Once you’ve played a lot, you can tell where everyone is. Once in a while, it’s a surprise and it’s fun that way. More quick playing and more tension when you’re a little unsure.

There are also more important things to look at in terms of tactics and strategy, and a precise running score is just distracting.

I am very much in favour of this as an optional component though I would use it in all my games. Knowing the scores of your opponents is no way a distraction from the goal of winning. And ending the game having lost by 2 points by mistake is very frustrating.

I think it’s the sort of game where you often can’t do much about losing by two points. What decides the game is usually something that happens earlier. So knowing the score near the end I think leads to a longer waiting time as people take more time to make decisions and leads to a less climactic ending.

If this gets implemented, even as an optional feature, I will stop playing this game (which is by far my most played game in BGA). I can only see the game getting measurably worse for having it.

Yes! We need the score being updated in real time, it makes no sense to hide it. It makes the game easier for new players also. Please add this!

Probably because there's no way to do it in the physical game???
