GAMES ON REPEATED MAPS

I've played on several repeated maps and used various strategies. I analyzed the pattern of games and positioning of the houses and 90% of the data is repeated. The dice when the number 7 comes out is always at the same time and the development cards that I buy and receive are always the same throughout the game.

The games are repetitive for whoever wins or loses.

What only changes is the order of playing and placing the villages and when the thief or the knight comes out the player chooses who to attack, everything else is repeated several times on the same maps where I played.

Not to mention that the data is not random as they say it is, as I have played on different maps several times and it always comes out the same.

Has anyone else analyzed the games on the maps they play most? (Multiple games on the same map)

Your claim is very unspecific.
Can you give the game numbers of two or more matches that were on "repeated maps" and were identical in all those aspects you mention?

What is repeated (dependent on the settings, though): the harbor placements and the hex numbers (spiral placement).

Everything other is random. Any pattern that a human can see is formed in the human brain which is extremely good at that specific task.

Play on several maps that are repeated with equal numbers of resources and positioning.

I will record the number of games...

The pattern on these maps is always the same, the only thing that varies is the order of who starts playing and the placement of villages. The cards that come out to each player and the dice... even when the 7 comes out... it's all repetitive...

Take a printout of the map and play on the same map and see if the same thing won't happen in the game.

In case you aren't aware, you can see the listing of games that you have played from your profile page ( https://boardgamearena.com/player?id=96 ... astresults ), and from there you can click on a game and then view the replay. It would be very helpful if you could find examples of what you are saying, and post the links to the specific games.

Did these "repeated maps" occur in Arena? It looks like you have mostly been playing Catan in Arena. If you are seeing repeated maps there as you describe, it is a serious bug and I'm sure the developers would appreciate specific information that will enable them to investigate the bug.

If you were playing "simple games" (i.e. not Arena) when this occurred, it's possible the game setting was "monthly setup", in which the map is supposed to be repeated (see viewtopic.php?p=121242#p121242 ). However, I always assumed that even under monthly setup, the deck of dev-cards is supposed to be freshly shuffled for each game, and the dice are not supposed to be fore-ordained either. But perhaps I am wrong about that.

I'll see, although it takes some work now to watch it game by game...

Yes, no arena mode. Repeated maps appear with the same resources and numbering.
The development cards you buy are always the same (whether you are winning or losing). are not shuffled.
The dice is repetitive on these maps and with Thief 7 coming out when it is predictable.
I analyzed some patterns in games when I win and lose and it's always the same.

What changes is the order in which you start playing, which makes the only difference in the game. (In my opinion, each player should roll dice and the one with the highest number starts playing).

just play a density followed by games in arena mode and see that everything is the same...
