I don't see a way to queue up for a match and guarantee that custom decks will be available. Sometimes I get paired with someone doing starter decks only. I don't want to play starter decks only; I want to use my custom decks. I shouldn't be forced to play a starter deck. Not only is it a waste of my time, but I get punished if I abandon the game. Furthermore, Altered starters decks are waaaaay imbalanced. The Ordis deck is lightyears better than any of the others, and the ELO swings on starter deck games can be huge. I have a suspicion that some people are using starter deck only lobbies to farm easy ELO with the Ordis deck. Regardless, I want to always play what I queued up to play. I don't care if I have to wait a bit longer to get it, just stop matching custom deck people into starter deck only games.

If there's already a way to do this and I'm just not seeing it, please let me know.

Go to play now, hit the cog next to Altered.

Expand the Allow Custom Decks section.

Change 'I'm ok playing with custom decks disabled' to the red, 'I never want to play with this option'.

And you should be good to go.
Alternatively, Arena mode always allows Custom decks. At least this season.
