A couple of good answers here from richyfourtytwo and LaOread..
There unfortunately doesn't seem to be an option to exclude player counts when searching BGA, only including. There are about 300 matches (I think?) on BGG but also unfortunately there's no option for filtering by family tags. I hope that it's something BGG will include one day.

Okay, great, but that example is an Uwe list (nothing to do with BGA games or three-player-only games) and I've tried but I still don't know how to do an exact search myself.
