2 player adjustments

Would it be more competitive to remove a number or color for 2 players mode every though it's not cannon?
It's not in the official rules, but Helevtiq actually suggests to remove two colors for 2ppl game on their homepage:

Perhaps this could be made an option on BGA in the future.
