Daily challenge statistics

I believe the daily challenge statistics are posted on the publisher's site (at least I believe that's what the game prompted me when I did it). Where are these statistics? Playing the daily challenge again did not give me the same prompt so I can't verify the wording of the prompt.

I have to work on this and improve the leaderboard visual.
For now you can click on the blue part of the text of the daily challenge which is on top of each game.

Thanks for sharing the link and for adding this daily challenge feature!
At what time UTC does the daily challenge "update"?

I think daily challenge can only be
played once per player - regardless if it is by themselves or against someone - that way the statistics will be realistic. Otherwise, the the Daily challenge becomes who clicks faster based on their memory or screenshots.

Are you telling me that people aren't actually solving these puzzles in less than 3 seconds each?

It is impossible to prevent players from cheating. You only need a second BGA account to look at the puzzle solutions.
The only thing I can do is limit it.
Unfortunately, the BGA framework does not allow me to prevent someone from starting the daily challenge multiple times.
However, I can detect if a player is completing their daily challenge for the first time.
That said, a player could start a daily challenge game, not finish it, and then restart the daily challenge.
So here’s what I’ve done:
As soon as a player views a daily challenge puzzle, that puzzle is marked as seen for that player.
If, during their participation, a player encounters a puzzle they have already seen, their result is invalidated.
That’s why, at the bottom of the daily leaderboard, there is a ranking for players who have already played the daily challenge.
However, there is a paradox:
Some people launch multiplayer daily challenge games.
Let’s say you participated in one of those games and solved the first puzzle.
Then, you start your own solo daily challenge.
You solve all the puzzles for the first time except the first one.
Your result will still be invalidated.
You may even find yourself in a situation where none of your results can be validated.
I think I’ll try to add a warning message to alert a player when they are about to invalidate one of their own daily challenges.

I just wanted to pop in and thank you for adding this the BGA. This has been one of the best new games we've discovered on here in a very long time, and my wife and I try to beat each other's time on every daily challenge. It's quick, challenging, and a little different every time!

Is the leaderboard endorsed by BGA? The only other places I've seen where links open to different pages from a BGA game are when it goes to an official rulebook (trusis, etc) or informational document (like Daybreak which is a game using eco-friendly motifs and linking to documents on what those motifs are mirroring real life efforts to give learning resources to people who want to learn after being inspired from the game) so external leaderboards are new. I'd also like to see evergreen leaderboards like fastest solves for [each difficulty?] for a set of 12 puzzles on solo mode, though maybe it would encourage cheaters and turn into its own problem.
