please remove, or tell me to remove if this is nto the correct place for this question.

I just pllayed my first game ever, both me and my oponent guessed the correct code on the same turn. The game said the the opponent won because they used 1 criteria card and i used none. can someone explain this to me? the bga tutorial never explicitly said what the "use criteria card" button does and when to use or not use it.

It doesn't say they used one and you none. It says they got 1 star (tie-breaker point) for using the fewest criteria cards and you got no star.

You solved it in 3 round, with 9 questions, using 4 cards.
They solved it in 3 rounds, with 6 questions, using 4 cards.

I doubt the tie-breaker is the number of cards, but the number of questions. At least in this case.

I get that they maybe asked fewer questions which makes it clear why they would win, but I am confident that it said I got 1 star and so did they. It also very clearly states that the tie breaker is number of criteria cards used. it's possible i've misunderstood something so i have added a screenshot as an attachment and highlighted the relevant section

They have 1 GREY star, you have 0, inside the brackets. I'm pretty sure when it says "number of criteria cards used", it means number of questions, i.e. you count every time you use a card.

yeah my question was about the grey stars, but yeah, confusing wording given that they explicitly state the meaning of the grey card is number of criteria cards used (bottomm left of image) thanks for clearing it up
