Which way is up?

When playing at a table, each player sits on one side of the board, and the directions for the cards are all relative to each player - i.e. a card that lets you move "up" would allow the *opposite* direction an opponent sitting across from you - i.e. it's for *their* up. How is this handled on BGA? Are all players considered to be sitting on the same side of the board? Or is it doing some funny redrawing of cards for each player that I can't see?

Players are not sitting on the same side. In BGA you see all cards, also your opponents, directed the same way, but BGA shows the map from different directions for all players. So, when analyzing you opponents movements it's sometimes confusing since you don't know which way the map is directed for them (or maybe you can figure it out somehow).
