Turn times are way too slow for Wingspan.

As the title states.
The fastest possible turn time for Wingspan is just way too long. 3 whole minutes for a person to make a move is just ridiculous.
Give players the option to adjust turn times even lower down to 1 minute instead. This should not be too difficult and would GREATLY improve the game experience for faster more experienced players.
I seriously have no idea what could be the reason for allowing 3 whole minutes per turn to make a single move at the fastest option available for turn times.
This issue has pissed me off many a time and I have cancelled my premium subscription till it is resolved.
If you are of the opinion that turn times are way too slow, please support this thread.

I don’t play real time very often and when I do, no one ever takes all 3 minutes on their turn. So I can’t say this is a burning issue for me. But I hear that it’s a big deal to you
But I do remember when this game was being developed, and I was one of the testers for it. The developer was absolutely amazing and completely responsive. Why don’t you try reaching out to the developer?

Here are two proposals that can be upvoted:
https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=43351 (currently 29 upvotes)
https://boardgamearena.com/bug?id=144459 (currently 6 upvotes)
Will more upvotes guarantee that BGA will implement the proposal? Most certainly not! But your cancellation of premium membership, and your call to "support this thread", are unlikely to have any noticeable effect.

Have upvoted the first proposal.
Well, you are right, it is entirely up to them to improve their platform and user experience to retain players and paying customers.
If nothing is done then people are going to exit the platform. Simple as that.
Till something as common sense as having faster game times for faster players gets implemented, they won't be earning a cent from me.
And sure, my contribution might be negligible. But I personally will not subject myself to a mediocre gaming experience any longer.

Millions are on this platform. Many different complaints overtime. How long there is between turns and wingspan is not going to change anything on this website.
Has anybody ever seen suggestions being actually implemented? I’ve given up even trying to vote them. It seems useless.
Volunteer website. Nothing will get done because you complain. There is no ability to change anything by not paying your premium except you yourself no longer get to play board games with other people online.
Do you really think your three dollars a month ending is going to change anything here? Not likely. And it is stated everywhere all over that posting anything in the forms is not going to change anything at all. Go to the suggestion and bug report area if you want to do that. Still probably nothing will happen. If we all decide to pay $36 a month, maybe something will be different. But that’s not what anybody wants

Many volunteer developers are active and check the bug trackers of their games and fix stuff. Other games are abandoned with no active maintainer at all. Some you'd think are abandoned but then suddenly a developer chips in an update. Maybe they only had time and interest once in an entire year to work on it, or a new maintainer took over. So it varies wildly. I would say that it's worth posting on the bug tracker unless a game is known to be hopelessly abandoned.

I believe that "normal" speed for rt games in Wingspan
are 1 minute per turn. It's just that you have a 4 minute cache. So, if you continually go over 1 minute per turn, you'll eat into that cache and eventually time out. Like, if someone did take 3 minutes per turn, they'd time out by the 2nd turn.

I would say, please vote for the second proposal, it's much more interesting.
The problem is that BGA only has one turn time setting per game. If the initial set-up turn has a lot of options and decisions, like in Wingspan or Terraforming Mars, players need more time for that turn. Say 3 minutes. So a turn time of 1 minute is way too fast. Later turns should not take as long, but since there is only one turn time… we're stuck with 3 minutes.
So if we could have more time in the beginning of a game, but less time as it progresses — that sounds good!

There’s a difference between the turn time that keeps being added and the maximum time bank.
For Wingspan these are:
Fast turns 37s, (max time bank 2m51s)
Regular turns 59s, (max time bank 3m57s)
Slow turns 1m34s, (max time bank 5m32s)
The OP suggested desiring 1 minute turns, so that would be the regular setting. Fast games only allow an average turn of 37 seconds. If a player at a fast table used up the entire bank of 2m51s on their first turn then their subsequent turn would cap at 37s, which if they then maxed that for the remainder of the game would be their time for all further turns, brisker than what the OP is seeking.
So long as a player takes turns no slower than once every 37s then their max time bank will click back up to 2m51s each turn, but that’s different from being allowed “3 minutes per turn” as claimed. Even slow only allows a minute and a half per turn.
The ratio of turn time to max time banks vary:
Fast x4.62
Regular x4.02
Slow x3.62
The ratios between those (F/R and R/S) are 1.14 and 1.16 respectively.
Assuming the OP desires the max time bank to be 60 seconds (VF or very fast games) then setting the ratio VF/F to 1.15, then the “x” factor for turn/max time would be x5.31 (because 5.31/4.62=1.15). And then 60s/5.31 = 11s per turn (rounded).
11s per turn with a max time bank of 60s might suit the OP just fine.

well said.
