He plays walking boots with an occupation in R7, and uses SP with the family member given by walking boots. Because of a bug, the system thinks he is the starting player of R7, and he built with his first move.

He uses Bargain Hunter to play Walking Boots "at the start of the round", meaning he must place a person immediately, which goes to Meeting place. He then becomes Starting Player that very round. I assume because the Work Phase hadn't started yet.

It is not immediately clear this is a violation of the rules. But I guess it is also why the Unofficial Compendium has a "RECOMMENDED ERRATA: This card must be played in the work phase." on Walking Boots.

This is one of the reasons why Walking Boots is a bad card design imo. It absolutely opens up problems like this. Glad it is in the banlist!
