Board Game Arena

Backgammon should be a fast paced game. Every time I play, it seems like I make my move in 10 seconds at most and am waiting 20 to 30 seconds for my opponent to move. Don’t know if they’re thinking or server lag, but the game seems unplayable. What time settings do most of you use?

yeah, it could be a LOT better... during every 15 point match I also have about 4-8 sync errors where I have to refresh the page.

But in exchange for the slow server connections you get incredibly lots of doubles, especially when youre the underrated player. You dont see those crazy rolls that often on other backgammon sites, so they shall keep you playing, emphasized by "Ein Pasch!" (= doublets).
