Hi, does anyone know where in the US I can order these exact cards with which we are playing? I cannot find them anywhere. Thx.

Looks like the creator was planning on doing a Kickstarter for these card designs, but there haven't been any updates on any of their social media since 2018. The shop on their website has been saying "coming soon" since at least 2016, according to Archive.org.

So I'm afraid there's little hope of getting these cards, unless you make them yourself.

Either way, if you plan on learning more hanafuda games or playing hanafuda/koi-koi in other places than BGA, I'd recommend playing with the traditional Japanese or Korean designs. There's an option to change the card designs to those.

I did make a pair of 2 deck sets. The artist posted her art on Etsy and I downloaded and printed it. I got black and red-brown card stock which I painstakingly cut to size with Xacto blades and pasted 2 pieces together for thickness before applying the art. I then made a clever box to hold them with Oriental New Years gift paper which had peony and butterfly design for the cover. One set for myself and the second as a gift for my daughter and her husband.
