Definition of lake

"If your Garden is adjacent to a lake(an empty space that is completely surrounded), its points are doubled."

While the example in the rules shows a lake of just one hexagon, apparently, a lake can be comprised of two (or possibly more) adjacent hexagons surrounded by other tiles.

At BGG, the game designer confirms that in a reply to a question about whether lakes could be used to surround temples (they can't).

Yes it does at least in the rules of bga witch is fine i think because a lake can be bigger than another :)

Oh, you are saying "a lake CAN be comprised of two..." ? (missing word) Then yeah, that's indeed true. A lake is a hole in your cirty, no mater the size of it
