Why are we taking a step back and further from the last printed official civs. These feel incorrect and dirty. lol

I am genuinely curious if the guru vote was actually for these civ formats, or if BGA made a mistake. Are there people out there who voted for this format? Everyone I asked says they voted for the historical Nov 2022 civ adjustment format.

How do you go from voting for something that is not available to being stuck with something nobody wants?

The Real Problem is why can we not get the newest Civ Balances and Fix to the City maps Desert and Wetlands. Honestly the game is not meant to be played in the Unbalanced original adjustments format. It makes people lose interest in this incredible game. Can we reach out to Stonemaier games to get approval for fixing the Civs to the now available Revised Civ Pack
https://stonemaiergames.com/games/tapes ... ion-pack/ (including the revised Desert and Wetlands City maps). I am sure this community could provide Coders to volunteer and make the actual changes for these revised Civs.

Another problem is that the Guru system is kinda broken, making it really hard to get a decent conversation going there.
I've been in and out of the Guru group like 5 times now. At the moment I am once again out of the group (while being in the top 10 for the game), so I cannot vote, nor contribute in another way. Meanwhile I'm currently Guru in a game where I played less than 10 tables...
It feels like taking a break for 2 weeks kicks you out of the Guru group, and then you need to play a lot for 3 months to get back in. So there's way too much fluctuation and no consistency. And that's how you get Arena votings where 10 people vote, and suddenly you have the switch back to a shitty old version.
Still waiting to become a Guru again, after having played two dozens tournament matches in the last few weeks. Then maybe I get to vote again some day!
Edit: Posted in the suggestions form:

Edit 2: I became a Guru again. And it looks like the current vote is heaidng into the right direction

From the devs in the Guru chat: “Winning proposal contained an option still in Beta, so the arena format will be kept as last season” and “Sorry for the confusion! It is true that in the past we allowed arena formats to include Beta options but that is no longer the case. If you wish to use that option in the arena format you should request the game developer/maintainer to finish the work on it and update its status (note that it might also require publisher approval)”
