This is kinda a silly post. But if I'm able to block someone, causing them to skip a turn cause their speed is too low, which would get me the position and most likely, the win

Should I go for it cause the game allows me to do it?
Or
Should I stay the path, cause the only reason the rule exists is because the game would break without it?

silly play is 5th blocking 6th in 1st corner of 1st round and allowing all 4 players above to fly away.

Blocking on track is all part of the game.

Blocking someone from rejoining the track after they've already spent a turn on the sidelines or in the pits is probably a line you don't want to cross - at least when not playing with friends.

But it's all subjective anyway; none of us are playing for money, are we?

Yeah pit blocking is a bit much, even for me, Glad some are still around to talk about the game like this

Somehow, if you can block someone, it's because they made a mistake the previous turn. Why shouldn't they be punished?

That's said, the real question is "Is it worth it?.
In a two players game, it's all benefits for you and none for opponents (since there is only one). So you should do it.
In a 3+ players game, not so sure. You shouldn't block a guy if there are too many benefits for the other players.

I won't hesitate to block a car off track by stepping on its return spot - if it benefits me of course. It's totally part of the game.

Except in the case of someone who went to pit and I lose control (0) on the same place. On BGA, the car at the pit plays first, is blocked and have to wait a turn, whereas my french rules states that the car on track should play first (which makes more sense to me). So, in that rare instance, I won't block the other car - if I can avoid it.

There's no 'if' about it, blocking a return from the pits will always benefit you - someone else is missing a turn. It just that getting blocked from the pits hits different.

If I get blocked on a corner, it's probably my error that you've taken advantage of. If I get blocked while trying to come back on track from the pits, it's because a line of the rules says you you reappear at the same point if you can, and if you can't tough luck, try again next turn.

But it's not just coming back from the pits where that might happen. If I crash in 00, skip a turn, and then can't rejoin the track because another car is there to block me, then it swings back towards being my fault again - I crashed, after all, and ought to wait for the track to be clear before a safe rejoin (or some such thematic reason).

It's a hard one to call sometimes, but as for the second part, if BGA is having the car in the pits play first, that's worth a bug report if there isn't one already, but I don't know how maintained GT is these days.
