Sound effects

BGA has some beeps and bongs for standard actions in its interface. But the games can still be quite quiet. It would be entertaining if there were thematic game effects too. For example, in Ark Nova, you might have trumpet calls when an elephant is played or roars for a lion and so on.

Some games do it, but it can easily become distracting or very repetitive. In addition, it's difficult to keep the volume consistent with BGA's own sound effects.

Lastly, as a developer I've thought about this, and mostly concluded that BGA is intended for a boardgame experience, and less of a videogame experience. I don't want boardgames to feel like a random mobile phone game.

Parting thought: I've added silly sounds to games, and played games with silly sounds, but PLEASE give your players the option to turn those sounds off, separate from the normal BGA sound effect control.
