Is this card not worth +1 victory point? I am trying to understand why when I play it I am instead losing one VP. Can anyone please explain what I am missing?

Any time live scoring is turned on and you lose points after a game action is taken, you either played a negative point card like Heat Trappers or Corporate Stronghold or it was because the standings for a funded award were updated.
