Board Game Arena

Is there any reason this isn't on by default? It doesn't get the in the way of those who don't want to use it. For those who do want to use it, it would be very much appreciated if it were on by default, so we can download all of our matches to analyse. Thank you.

Does it work? As far as I know, the option exists but there is no mat.file - whether on or off... It was never implemented (or has it recently without me noticing?).

Under settings in-game you can click "export to .mat" and it spits out a txt file which can be saved as .mat ; not perfect but it's better than nothing.

How do you recieve the *.txt file? Email?

It pops up in a new window.

You go to: Setup in the upper right, then click on Get Macth file
Then you copy the txt info to your Notepad or Wordpad app in your PC and then you can save it
Then you can load that .txt file into eXtreme Gammon (XG) or other BG software for analysis to see where you mad your mistakes

The only big issue here on BGA is that you CANNOT download the match files when you are playing in Arena Mode games. It only lets you do this in Simple Game mode, which is ridiculous since all other BG sites allows you to get the match files no matter what mode you are playing in (Backgammon Galaxy, Backgammon Studio Hereos, SafeHarbor Games, etc).

Please FIX THIS BUG ASAP!!

Yes this is very frustrating especially since you cant download the match files for Arena games which is very suspicious. Only the regular casual games they let your get the match files. Not acceptable BGA
