But this implementation is not Canasta as I know. Taking discarting pile everytime anyone has melded cards on the table is really strange and almost each round anybody takes the discarted pile. No strategy at all. I knew variant to take discarted pile, you have to have two same cards in hand to take the discarted pile, even already melded, it causes it is no so easy to take pile and needs more tactics in the game and remember what others played. Also suprised that you can take discarted pile before three rounds played, you take two cards each round, so you have quickly many cards in your hand and it is high probability to take discarted pile. Also do not know, you can go out, when there is black 3 on the top of discarted pile.

Are you referring to American Canasta or something?
BGA implementation is based on Classic Canasta. If you want to find your own version, this is not the place.

Play with the 'Always Frozen Discard' and you have to have 2 of the card in your hand to pick it up, even if you have it melded.
