If a player abandons the game at 95% completion then all players participating do not receive karma. *.

If my time runs out for 2 seconds in a 90 minute game I don't receive any karma for completing the game. SERIOUSLY?

If a player just mass spams short games with a friend or fake account he recovers all karma pretty quickly.

Seriously, it feels like it's all wrong.

Of course. What else did you expect? You don't lose karma either.

I'm surprised they allow a swearword. Words that are normal and not swearwords in English or banned here. Doesn't the B word refer to testicles?

It is not true that there is no karma at all with a 95% completion. It is not all the karma you would've gotten if you had won the game alone, but you do not get zero karma.

It is not true that you can be booted for two seconds overtime. There is a 20 second leeway and it happens over and over again in the same game. I played a terribly annoying game with a woman who kept going 18 seconds over every single turn as she put down and picked up her players in kingdom builder over and over and over again. The most boring dragged out game I have ever played.

I think it's true. They're talking about karma, not elo. You only get +1 karma for finishing a game in time if the game finishes (and you don't run out of time).

I don't think they're talking about being booted, but about not getting +1 karma for finishing a game in time... because, guess what, they didn't finish in time

Just because a word refers to testicles, doesn't mean it's a swear word. "Testicles" refers to testicles, and it's not a swear word.

OP: I see your point. You're trying to build up your Karma and are *this* close to getting the bonus, and then someone screws it up. I guess the argument might be, where should we draw the line? How much of the game should you have to play? You can't divide +1.

If you think that going red by 1 second in a 90 minute game deserves karma penalty then you are delusional

What penalty?

I think karma penalties for running out of time should be implemented automatically by the system and not require the users to enforce it. If someone is regularly running over time on their turns and going to deep into the red but the other players would rather finish the game than abandon it, that doesn't mean they weren't negatively impacted by the player who was going over time.

Seriously, it feels like it's all wrong.

If building your karma back is your goal, doing it by playing 90-minute games is extremely inefficient. Just play lots of really short games. People have suggested Can't Stop or Lucky Numbers. You don't have to like the game. You're just farming like in some video games. And yes, it's a grind just like farming in a video game.

Once done, maybe consider strategies to avoid a karma penalty in the future.
