Hi All,

I was wondering if there was a way to use a dark/night mode for easier viewing on my eyes. After a long day i feel like the screen is so bright. Ive tried plugins for google that invert the colours but they disguise some essential information.

There is no BGA implemented dark mode. There may be a third-party extension, but I never use them so I forget.

This is the third most upvoted active site request and was first proposed 2020-01-21 10:07.

The Google Chrome extension supports Dark Mode. It's still a bit of a work in progress but the developer is very responsive to making updates if you see any games with dark mode issues (like poorly contrasting text, etc.).

Well. In fact, it'll always be “work in progress” as I'm evolving the extension to add custom css for the dark mode for each new game.

My extension is available for Google Chrome (and all chromium browsers like Edge or Kiwi Browser for Android devices) and Firefox (only for desktop computers).

True. I more meant that there's still issues with the dark mode in some games since you can't possibly get eyes on all of them yourself - but those issues are easily fixed once reported (love your work!).

Its bonkers that something voted this highly from so long ago is still flagged as "awaiting: This suggestion has not been analyzed by the developers yet"

I've also put together a straight css dark mode theme with purple and pink hues that you put in under the Advanced tab. The extension is great, but this way I get purple dark mode on mobile too.

I haven't specifically checked every single game, so please leave an issue on the Github if you come across a game that isn't working. That said, all of the games I have played work

The Game Panel Page is usable but also a WIP. Hoping to find some time this weekend to clean it up some more.

Btw the extension is working with kiwi browser on Android devices.

My "simple solution" techniques have included turning down the brightness on my monitor and, when I got sick of fiddling about with that (and especially with the problem of having to look at the eye-straining monitor in order turn down the brightness in the first place), wearing sunglasses.
