Board Game Arena

Looking at the lists of games that BGA has a license for, there are several I would love to see developed. I have no means myself, but how can we help contribute or encourage development of specific titles? Feel free to private message me.

Very difficult for specific titles.

But in general, for a non-programmer, I would say the best you can personally do is help testing. Which hopefully is also quite interesting. Games in Alpha can struggle to get the level of approval. And also significant constructive feedback for the UI.

Reviewing existing alpha games is excellend advice.

When you say, "specific titles," it sounds like you have particular games in mind you'd like someone to adapt for you. For an experienced developer, it can still take hundreds of hours to fully develop a game. That's not the sort of thing someone will undertake without prior passion or a financial incintive, both of which may be difficult for you as an individual to instill in someone else.

With a strong passion to drive you, you can eventually learn how to code a game yourself, but you can probably not force someone else to have that same drive and passion. If you're more flexible on the titles, there are lots of alpha games awaiting testers and meaningful feedback.

Haha yeah, I get it.. and yeah, definitely some specific titles in the "we have the license" section that I would love to see on BGA. I realize it's pretty difficult to "encourage". Financial incentive is an option but certainly tricky.

I am a BGA reviewer already and participate in the alphas and approvals of games I thoroughly enjoy (which has been a lot of them).

when just just post a list of the games which you would like to have developed, perhaps a developer might be intrested in developing it.
Some developers might find it cumbersome generating sprite/layout/visuals for there games.
