How to separate carriers from fighters

I want to drop fighters off a carrier to a colony but can't figure out how to do it in the interface. Csn anyone help?
Just let them at the colony.
It means that, when you will move carrier, don't take them with it.
(Fighter are NOT on a carrier, they just move with them if you want).
