Board Game Arena

Hi everyone,

my name ist Marcel. I am from germany, and i have developed a boardgame that, short form, fills the gap between Catan and highly complex games, that i struggle to find players in real life. That's why i have developed "Lost Realm" in the last months.
I have just completed the second playtest version, and have a physical copy and the digital assets for all components for the game.

Now i would like to build the game in BGA, to speed up gametesting, and allow more players to join the playtesting and provide Feedback.

I am a Web-Developer fluent in HTML, PHP and Javascript anyways, so that sounds like just the right thing to do.

But now i have stumbled upon several problems: When i was trying to login to studio.boardgamearena.com, it said that the Username is not already in use, and i was able to create a second "BigDaddyXD" account, with the exact same mailadress as my prime "BGA"-Gamer account. Can anyone help me with that? I would love to just use my general account that i had for years now, for the development part, too

The other problem is that i can't seem to (am allowed to) create a project. All i get is this error message:

Sorry, an unexpected error has occurred...

BGA studio uses separate accounts from the main site, so registering a new one is the right thing to do. When you register with <name> on BGA studio, it will end up creating multiple accounts <name>0, <name>1, <name>2, etc. I believe only <name>0 has rights to create new projects. You could still try to register with the same name as here, but it will append the numbers to the account in any case.

Oh okay. So i would need to create a different Accountname for my Dev-Account? Is that right?

They are separate websites. You need an account for each site. You can use the same name if you want.

Okay, but as i wrote above, somehow i can't seem to create a project... So i wonder why that is...
