Improving TM Playability for the Blind

Hi All,

I am a totally blind player who has recently discovered Turing Machine. It looks like a fun logic puzzle and I would love to be able to experience it on BGA, but the current implementation leaves a bit to be desired in accessibility terms. I wanted to see whether it might be possible to make some small modifications to improve the experience.

At the moment, while I can generally read the verifiers I've seen thus far, I cannot easily tell what the results of my questions are, as all I see in the log is the question, not the answer.

If this functionality were added it would go a decent way towards making the game playable, though tedious.

At the moment it is difficult to tell what number is associaited with each color, though I presume they are listed in the same order whenever a code is displayed.

Essentially, I can't easily track information which is only conveyed by, say, changing the color of something or the background images, but I feel like there's no reason why this should be a major obstacle to enjoying this game. In accessibility terms these are extremely low-hanging fruit, at least as far as screen readers are concerned.

I'm happy to answer questions on this or provide more specific technical guidance. Note that I have yet to actually play a full game, due to the above issues.

Thanks much :)

I wish they would fix this; being unable to tell if the check being correct or not is very much a blocker. For the order thing, the information that is missing from the accessible UI but is always true is that the first digit is always represented by a blue triangle, the second digit by a yellow square, and the third digit by a purple circle.

Honestly the fact that this hasn't been responded to by developers is probably what's going to get me started looking into becoming one; this is one of my favorite games and there's nothing about it that inherently requires vision. (In my day job I'm a software engineer that works on the front end of web applications, and also makes sure our app is accessible.)

Hope either I follow through on my desire, or someone else does!

Please use the suggestions system if you have one, that's exactly what it's for

How do you know?

Sorry I had to

I hope the game becomes more accessible to you, I think it should be quite possible to adapt it to be more friendly to the visually impaired logicians.

The colors are indeed always in the same order
