How did we miss this bug?

There was a time ago, the elders remember, where bugs were fixed in this game.
I just realized one that, being quite relevant, I understand that no one found, or at least did not post, since it is still valid.
"If all 3D elements are removed, the area becomes open ground."
How could this happen!?
Not only in terms of vision, but not to increase defense!
