A few minutes ago, when browsing some of the Spanish game and site translations for proofreading, I noticed this:

Además, por favor mira las <a href='/#!doc/translationguidelines'>translation guidelines</a> antes de comenzar.

The fragment "translation guidelines" (the link between the <a> and </a> tags), could be better translated as "directrices de traducción", "líneas generales de traducción" or "guía de traducción" (the latter option changing the plural article "las" to singular "la"), yet I can't edit the text because it is an already validated transation.

I consider the above circumstance to be an error which, as such, should be fixed if possible.

Also, as a final note, "por favor" needs to be between commas ("Además, por favor, mira [...]").

Unrelated to the error with which I started the thread (but important nonetheless):

I have noticed this string appearing on the Spanish version of the site when you try to concede a game with more than two players:

Only 2 player games can be conceded

Which shouldn't be, as there is a proper (and already validated) Spanish translation by Gallardus for that string listed among the official ones:

I hope this issue may be addressed and fixed as soon as possible.

Another error:

"Your next matches" left unlocalized as "LB_YOUR_NEXT_MATCHES".

I'd suggest the more appropriate translation "Tus próximos enfrentamientos" (in the context of a tournament, I think "enfrentamientos" would be better than "partidas").

Also, I have noticed "You are participating in this tournament" is translated as "Estás participanto en este torneo", which should be corrected as "Estás participando [...]".

I have fixed errors 1, 3, and 4 (mistranslated validated strings).
Error 2 is a little more difficult, as the translation is correct but not applied. I'll need to look deeper to understand why.

By the way, in Thermopyles, "army" is consistently translated into Spanish as "ejercito". It should be "ejército", with an acute accent over the second "e".

Also, in Yahtzee, there are several major errors:

"Yahtzee" appears inconsistently as "Yahtzee", "Yathzee" and "Yatzy" in several strings. I suggest all instances of the word be changed to "Yahtzee". Related to this, "Yams" is mistranslated as "Yahtzee" at least once, and should be fixed and set to "Yams".

"Zero points move" is translated (quite badly) as "Cero puntos se mueven", when it should be "Movimiento de cero puntos".

Also, "Twos", "Threes" and "Six" should be translated as "Doses", "Treses" and "Seises" respectively, as the plural forms of cardinal numbers (and not the singular ones) are the ones that should appear.

Besides, I suggest "¿Estás seguro?" be changed to "¿Estás seguro/a?" to be gender-independent.


If possible, I'd want to be granted the ability to modify previously validated strings, so as to not have to report every single typo or wrong translation I spot to an administrator.
