How did this game end in a tie?

I can't comprehend how I didn't win this game? I did not lose once and the other two players did. Somehow I ended up second in a tie. Will someone please explain this?

You didn't end up second, you ended up tied for first place.

That game was using Basic Rules scoring, for which there is one loser and everyone else ties for first.
Contrast it with this other game you played using Advanced Rules:
