Is Premium worth it for this game?

I've been waiting over 15 minutes just to play an arena match, and it's getting old. Playing a simple game doesn't match any faster.
Any tips to speed up the process?

I don't think there is much you can do to speed up the process apart from going premium. Unfortunately one of the players at the table must always have premium, so if there are many non-premium users in queue the process gets slower.
What you can do, if you are not willing to spend money is going on your profile and find the section "Contribute to BGA and get a Premium membership". From there you can earn gift points to get premium for free by translating strings of text if you know other languages

AFAIK, the premium restriction does not apply to Arena. You can have 2 non-premium players in an Arena game.

I'm not sure about this, it would make sense, but the queues when I was not premium were much longer, now I get matched almost instantly. Maybe the queue is artificially prolonged for non-premium users

Well I'm struggling to find a game to back up my claim. So maybe I'm wrong.
But the majority of players have premium, at-least 50%. And the artificial thing is just conspiracy speculation at best. BGA are happy to have non-premium accounts.

I never stated it as a fact, but you understand that if at least 50% of the players have premium and queues for premium users are 10x shorter, something must be wrong in what you are saying

I just looked through the top50 arena azul players, it's more than 50%.
I missed a couple but I just counted: 31:16.
How do you know they are x10 shorter?
Your personal preference settings are the first thing to make matching harder.

In arena you cannot set preferences. Also the top50 is a gigaflawed statistical sample, top players play a lot and are more inclined to get premium to reduce waiting time.
I don't know if it's 10x shorter or 8x or 15x or whatever, my perception when I was not premium was I had to wait forever for a match, while now that I'm premium I'm getting matched in a matter of seconds

Personal preferences don't apply to Arena pairings, do they?
