Great (Old) One Monster Turn

I still don't have a ton of reps in this game, but I know I love it. And the one thing that hooked me the most was how you can string together some absolutely monstrous turns.

And so, I'd like to use this thread to document some of my (and yours?) biggest, craziest single-turns. It's not set in stone, but my first attempt to measure the scale of these turns is to look at the total number of resources, cards, and tentacles collected in a single turn. And because tentacles typically require 4 resources on a constellation to collect, I'm going to arbitrarily assign the following point values: 1 resource = 1 point, 1 card = 1 point, and 1 tentacle = 4 points.

To start off, I have this 71-point Monster Turn in which I collected 45 resources, 10 cards, and 4 tentacles. I'll try to post an image of BGA's turn log as "proof."

This turn was aided strongly by my 3-discount on red cards and a string of the +5 resource, take the card row, and play another Hallucinations. I'm not sure this was my single biggest turn ever, but it must certainly be close.

Do you like Monster Turns? Please share one with me, I'd love to see these grotesque masterpieces!

What an awesome idea for a thread. I'll go back and check this one. I know I've scored 6 tencticles in one turn and have gotten a single resource above 40. I'll try and find the match, get the link, and list which move the chain started on.

Congratulations on such a monster of a chain, jhuns.

There are plenty of epic chainers in the forum with Frogodo probably being the OG in that area. Looking forward to hearing of others chains.

I recently managed to win a game that seemed lost with a 5 tentacles monster turn... actually, not sure if qualifies as a "monster" turn, because it wasn't that long in terms of how many cards I played in the same turn, but being able to collect 5 tentacles in a turn it's always nice.
I got the Awaken the Walking Dreamer and had 3 constellations on the table, 1 partially completed. I also had multipliers for +3 red, +2 yellow and +2 green, and the autofill for the black resources (I also had yellow autofill, but the move would have work without it anyways)

Thanks to the Awaken the Walking Dreamer plus the multipliers i was able to complete all 3 constellations AND collect the last (black) Forbidden Knowledge, thanks to the extra moves I got from the constellations, totaling the 5 tentacles I needed to win the match.

in this game i played recently, i was trailing 5-2 but managed to score 7 tentacles (yes, one more than the 6 i needed ;)) in a single turn to win the game!

i had resource bonuses of +1/+2/+2 on green/black/yellow respectively, and also a bonus of +3green (so +4 total) for each tentacle gained. with five (almost completely unfilled) constellations in play, i played Awaken the Walking Dreamer to complete a constellation that would move me to the +3red space. that got me 3b+3y+4r+6g which (combined with a bit more b/y from the others) allowed me to complete four more constellations. that of course got me enough greens to claim the Forbidden Knowledge, to make a turn total of 7 tentacles! :D

I am not going to bother counting the amount of resources I got that turn because it was waaaaay too many, but I got all 4 forbidden knowledges in a single turn. I was extremely lucky with the starting hand and my opponent was focusing more on constellations than on other things which allowed me to take my game calmly and set myself up for the monster turn :)

Not a "monster" turn in terms of number of resources accumulated, but in the sense of completing 6 constellations in a single turn, which would give me the win, had my opponent not kicked me out of the game as I was completing the last constellation (of course it takes time to do all those moves, duh).

I think this is the highest combo of constellations that I have ever managed to complete in a single turn, pretty proud of myself :D
