How does the minutes over time data work?

My son and I started playing together here and before I knew or understood about the tracking of time during plays I had accumulated some over time minutes. We were both just learning a new game and the over time didn't bother either of us. Now it is preventing me from joining games where the overtime is greater than 10%. How does this calculation work? Will that eventually drop off over some amount of time? How could I calculate how many games until the ratio was diluted to below 10%?

Thanks

When the time do not bother you, you should set the "game speed" to "no time limit (not recommended)". This way, you will not have any "red clock", no matter how long you take. But you should avoid this when playing with other people you don't know, because nothing prevent anyone from just leaving his/her computer for an hour...
The ratio is counted on the number of "recent games" (that took place during the last 60 days).
To get below the 10%, you need to have at least 10 times more games played than red clocks, so 170 (or 171 ?) games for 17 red clocks.
Also, in 60 days, your red clocks will disappear.

Hope this helps.

Thank you! That is exactly the information I was looking for.
