I really dislike it.

I haven't seen a setting for it.
That said, I'm curious what is annoying about it. The only time the game auto-plays is when there's literally only one possible move to make. I'm also not positive that I've seen it autoplay when it wasn't the last tile in someone's hand either.

In most rule sets, a player must draw tiles until they draw a playable tile, then they must play it.
Thus, when a player stops drawing and does not pass, they have only one tile to play (and usually there is only one possible move).

I want to play the game, not watch the game get played for me. Sometimes my opponent places a domino and before I even have time to register what they played, the game drew 6 dominoes for me, then played one and it is my opponent's turn again. It would be more fun for me to draw the dominoes one by one, each time hoping I will get one I can play and not knowing ahead of time how many I am going to have to draw.
I've also had rounds where it goes back and forth for like 3 or 4 turns where the computer is just drawing and playing for both of us.

I have bee wondering this also. In the last game I played , suddenly we both had about 10 more tiles in our hands . . I'm not seeing a way to change it, but I hope I'm wrong about that.

Auto should always be an optional user preference in all games. Would be nice if BGA required all developers to implement that as a site standard. You can add auto abilities, but players have to turn them on.
Having "stuff" happen without user input is a pain for many players. If they choose to turn it on, then they are aware that sometimes "stuff" will happen... but to be unaware and have decisions, even obvious/only ones made for you is never a good thing.
